Our Story
 BJ and Ashley
Walters are the
owners of Classic
Craftsman Design
which began in 2002.
They met while
attending the
College of
Charleston in
Charleston, South
Carolina. After
marrying in 1994,
they moved to
Cincinnati, Ohio
where they began and
operated a
successful window
and door
installation firm
for six years. As a
hobby, BJ began
making furniture and
doors for family and
friends in the
basement of their
home.
Wanting to leave the
big city lifestyle
behind, they moved
to West Virginia
where they are
currently renovating
an 1830s farmhouse.
With hopes of making
a business at home,
BJ began building
Arts & Crafts style
furniture in their
garage. Realizing
the need people have
for quality windows
and doors, and
having the
installation
knowledge and
background, BJ
expanded and moved
the shop to
Chambersburg in
South Central
Pennsylvania where
it is now located.
BJ manages
production and
sales, and Ashley
coordinates the
administrative and
human resources
functions. With
eight other
employees, Classic
Craftsman Design is
now a full size shop
housed in 18,900
square feet. We take
very seriously the
responsibility of
working to maintain
a healthy company to
ensure the wellbeing
of our employees and
all of their
families. |
